Posted - Jul 01 2013 : 12:11:27 AM Ha Laura, That is so funny! No, he was all by himself so if he were to drop, no one would see him for awhile. We have already had over 50 ambulance calls this afternoon in town. I did see an ambulance also on my way home from the store. It is 100 degrees now at midnight. I am wide awake because I have been indoors with not much activity for a few days now, and am just not sleepy. I also think by being indoors for so many days my circadian clock is starting to be affected, no signal it is time to be sleepy and go to bed. We've had the drapes pulled to keep it extra cool. So strange, we are really suppose to be able to go out of doors. Take care now. Annie

Stay safe. Heed those warnings. Heat like that can take you by surprise.

Posted - Jun 30 2013 : 1:58:26 PM And yet, today when I was driving home from the store I saw two people out at 1:00 pm jogging in the full sun and heat (117 degrees expected today). One was a thin elderly man jogging with no shirt on and no hat and the other was a younger man all dressed in black jogging along. Crazy...it really amazes me so many people do not heed warnings and just do whatever they want regardless. Interesting about the reverse 911, a great service really. Annie

That is indeed interesting. I think everyone is becoming so much more aware of how important it is to be prepared for things that nature is throwing at us. It has really been a year for fires...tornadoes...heat and other extreme weather events. Stay safe!
Hugs!
