I just finished looking at the flood and mudslide pictures of Alberta and Calgary from yesterday. My thoughts and prayers are for our northern neighbors as they struggle with this natural disaster and it's aftermath.

North America has certainly been having a rough weather year. I really hope it stops now! My heart goes out to all of you who have dealt with these terrible storms.

The clean up will be something I'm sure. Especially with all those terrible mudslides. Has Canada set up any fundraisers yet for the families who have lost their homes?

We've had a very rainy spring and early summer here in the Chicago area. Last year we were in the middle of a scorching drought. We seem to do this bouncing back forth every few years. I hope our rains head west to put out the forest fires & give everyone there a much needed soaking.

Lots of prayers are definitely needed!

The southern part of our Province is in pretty bad shape right now, lots of people displaced. Hopefully the rain subsides and the water will go back to normal levels. I have family in the area, some have been evacuated but are staying with others on higher ground. The military stationed near our City went down there today to help and the Red Cross is on site, many people are volunteering. People, for the most part, have listened to evacuation notices so that's good. They'll sure need as many prayers as they can get, the flooding is bad enough but the cleanup is the harder part.

Just too much rain right now. It's mind-boggling to watch the footage on the news. I keep checking back to the CBC website.

Taking a look at it myself as I have family in those provinces. I'm pretty sure they are all farther north, but there are many others who are hurting. And, Colorado continues to battle so many wildfires. It's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DRY! We are just trying to keep things watered and living and protected from fires.
