Hey Nancy,
Already been thriftin'! I went in to find a polar fleece jacket for my hubby to wear backpacking-found that for $2.00 and then a few sewing goodies too! I found three BIG rolls of twill cotton tape in great colors-rust, dark brown & a funky green ($4.00)! Also found a big ol' bag of the old one piece clothespins for 75 cents! Not too bad for a quick trip. This was my first time out in weeks-had to make the most of it!
Bonnie, I have danced at many Superchic(k) shows! Aren't they just the most fun!? I used to give out their cd to every girl I met-it was my "Superchic(k) ministry"! :) We know Trisha & Melissa, their parents, & also Matt. Such NICE folks! They are the REAL deal! The Sanctus Real boys are sweethearts too! Years ago when they were just starting out, they toured with friends of ours, a band called bleach-now retired. I remember the bleach boys telling me "there are no egos on this tour"... saying the guys from SR were very sweet & humble. It's soooo nice to see bands that are genuine. Our kids NEED real heros! I used to be a youth leader & saw a whole lotta shows so I can talk music alllll day! Oh, and if your kids like Christian rock bands, look up my son. He plays for a band called Slingshot57. They have a website Slingshot57.com, what else? :) Send me a PM and I will send the kids cds too!
Blessings!
Rhonda

RHONDA,
Glad to see you back, well I see you have come back in a big way, posting lots of stuff, so happy about that. Now lets get to the thrift store as soon as possible, and I want to see all the neat stuff you make.

Good Morning Rhonda!
I just took my daughter and 4 of her friends to see Superchic(k) and Santus Real. Great concert...even better when your 14 year old and her friends see mom dancing right along!!
Are you confined to bed, home or none of the above?
You're in my prayers for a SPEEDY recovery!

Helloooooooooooo! I'm baaaack! Thank you ALL so much for your kind words and good wishes! It's so nice to be missed! Things with the shoulders turned out to be a bit more complicated than the doctors thought, then I picked up an infection in one shoulder, and NOW I have some silly virus...blah blah blah. Anyway, I am SO over all this laying around & feeling crummy! Let's VISIT! :)
I do have to get back to being a One Girl Revolution! Yes, Bonnie that IS a SC quote! The Superchic(k) gang are some of my favorite people! Love their message, love them!
OK, off to see what I missed-besides all you farmgirl friends!
Blessings Everyone!

OUCH! Hope you recover quickly. I have been on bedrest myself and know how boring it gets quickly. I did read a wonderful book called "The 8". If you liked the Divinci code you would like this.

Sending you warm wishes for a speedy revovery

I pray you are feeling better soon, and up and about for the holidays.
Is your "one girl revolution" a Superchick quote?

Nothing like a surgery to make you slow down and relax - hopefully you will be able to spend time doing some things that you normally wouldn't do. I'll pray for a speedy recovery too!
