Hey y'all!

I was wondering if y'all could give me some ideas on planning a really memorable and lovely tea. I need ideas on a menu and games mainly. I've held this tea for about 4 years now and I'm looking for something new and fresh. We're a small church and we don't have a large budget to work with. Any ideas?

What about a tradtional English tea? Cucumber sandwiches, proper English trifle and meringues, or a tradional Devon cream tea - so yummy :)

So much to do, so little time :)

I have several tea magazines I wouldn't 't mind lending out. They have lots of ideas. I know there is a tea bingo and a "Mystery murder" for tea and lots of trivia. I can't give them away because eventually I want to send them to my aunts, but I have no time limit so I could mail them to you if you would like. Just let me know. Joey

What a great idea Lauren! I might also find some at a few thrift stores to give away... Fresh fruits and scones would definitely be different in a good way!

Hi Tracy,
I used to do the PTA Tea, and a fun thing we did was a teacup swap. Everyone brought a pretty china teacup/saucer and placed it on a table we had set up. Then when it was time for tea, everyone got to pick their own teacup/saucer which they kept at the end of the tea. It was a fun way to add to your teacup collecion.
Also, if you have any local tea shops etc, perhaps you could get them to make a donation for a raffle?
We always served scones, and fresh fruit. I also made cucumber finger sandwiches. A flower centerpiece is always pretty and of course candles!
Good Luck!
