Make snow ice cream! Last night during our snow storm DD and I went outside and gathered snow to make Mary Janes recipe for snow ice cream. It was fun and delicious!

Gather 12 cups of freshly fallen snow, mix in one can of sweetened condensed milk, and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.
Mix and enjoy...it's that simple!

Sounds like we will be getting a few more inches of fresh snow overnight. Sounds like some Valentines snow ice cream may be in order...perhaps strawberry????
Such fun!
CJ, I bet it was even more delicious with fresh cows milk!
Hugs,

Yeah, Marianne, you do need to use nice, fresh clean snow. I saw one recipe that says to set a big bowl outside while it is snowing and just let it fill up. I just went and scooped it up with a big measuring pitcher!

Yum! Never tried that! But we have had four days of fun at home sledding, crafting, and being together.

Oh CJ,
Glad to hear that you are making the most of your snow too! I have NEVER tried snow shoes! I bet I would have some fun for sure. If this weather keeps up here I may just have to invest in a pair!
Stay warm!

We just had some of our own . . . we've been getting snow for the past two days. It stops for a few minutes, then comes again. I also went out this morning on a snowshoe trek which was pleasant. Bramble loves to go with me and then when we get back to the house I throw snowballs for her to catch which she also loves to do.

Anyway, we just finished our snow ice cream.

Powdered chocolate mix or strawberry flavored or chocolate syrup works good too.
