What Treat Makes You Sweet?
Sweetest Day * October 21
Sweetest Day began in Cleveland in 1922 when Herbert
Birch Kingston, with the help of friends, distributed candy and other small gift to the underprivileged. His goal was to bring happiness into the lives of those who were less fortunate. Although the tradition began as a regional celebration, it gradually spread to other areas of the country and has more recently evolved as a time to express romantic affection. Sweetest Day is celebrated the third Saturday of every October. In honor of this special day, take a
minute and find out how sweet you are. Does your personality correspond to these popular desserts?
Angel Food Cake -You are sweet, loving and
cuddly, but can be nutty at times. You love
warm and fuzzy items and others sometimes
perceive you as being childlike.
Brownies -You are adventurous, love new
ideas, and are a champion of underdogs and a
slayer of dragons. Sometimes you can be the
oddball with your unique sense of humor and
direction, but you are very loyal.
Lemon Meringue -You are smooth,
passionate and articulate with your hands,
but cannot walk and chew gum at the same
time. Sometimes you can be a bit of a diva,
but you are an excellent teacher and have
many friends.
Vanilla Cake with Chocolate Icing -You are
fun loving, sassy and humorous, but can be
very indecisive and lack motivation at times.
You are a practical joker and people enjoy
being around you. You are a friend for life!
Strawberry Shortcake -You are romantic,
warm and loving, but can be very emotional.
You care about others and can always be
counted on.
Chocolate on Chocolate -You are creative,
adventurous, passionate, ambitious and
passionate, but may appear to have a cold
exterior despite being warm on the inside.
You're not afraid to take chances and will not
settle for anything average. You love to laugh!
Ice Cream -You are athletic and enjoy
watching sports. You tend to be in control of
situations, making you more self-centered and
high maintenance.
Carrot Cake -You are fun loving and warmhearted,
but a little quarky at times. You love
to laugh and people enjoy being around you.

Chocolate on chocolate for me, too. Favorite is chocolate layer cake with home-made chocolate icing. That is what we have for all birthday cakes at our house. I love to snitch little pieces that have lots of icing. My hubby always notices, no matter how crafty I try to cut them!

Oh dear...what do we make of a strawberry shortcake/lemon meringue/angel food kind of girl?!!! They don't call me the "Queen of Dessert" for nothing!

I think I'm a strawberry shortcake gal! I love strawberries... but then I like lemon meringue pie too..oh and gee who can resist chocolate...or carrot cake? gee whiz..I think I'm just one big gooey blob of a sweetheart! howza bout that? LOL

This is making my sweet tooth ache. I'm chocolate on chocolate with an extra dish for lemon meringue pie! Uh oh! I've been trying to ease up on sugar. Well, maybe tomorrow. I'll just 'eat, drink and be merry'. And tomorrow, 'I may diet'. :)
