I broke down and now have a warm fire in the fireplace. It's a cold rainy day here in Southern Indiana. Just going to knock the chill out and enjoy some "friendly fire" ....a warm fire is so inviting and such a friend on a cold rainy day. :)

Oh, we have a lovely fire going right now. Both dh and I are on our laptops and the dogs are snoozing. It doesn't get much better!

mmm...love the smells and sounds of a fire! I wonder if our apartment manager will mind if we build a camp fire out front of our apartment?

I wish I had a fireplace.....sigh. Actually, I do. I work at Cracker Barrel and they have a fire going when it's 35 degrees or below. I just can't curl up on the floor without being run over by guests or management looking at me funny!!!

Was the same here yesterday, rainy and cold. That's the best time for a cozy fire.

We've had several fires to warm up a cool morning. Today might be an all day fire. It's cold and raining here.

Amen Linda! I think today/tonight will be a rerun of yesterday! lol I've got the fire going and I'm sure by tonight my primitive wax decor will be looking a little sideways and leaning due to the melting from heat hahahhaaaa At least I will be!

Lol!
But there isn't anything as relaxing and enjoyable as a fire in the fireplace/wood stove!

Enjoy!

Linda

There is little as relaxing as the quiet crackle and pop of a nice fire =}

LOL! Mikki - I'd do the same thing! LOL! But, truthfully, there's nothing like a warm fire on a rainy day. It must smell sooooo good at your place, too! :) - Nini

Not quite cold enough here yet, but I sure am looking forward to firing up the wood stove. Sounds like a pleasant and peaceful way to spend a rainy day.

Thanks everyone! I do love a fire too. In the winter months my family comes over and we all congregate in the family room where the fireplace is at. The only thing missing is the smell of a homemade loaf of bread baking in the oven. I bake a lot of bread in the colder months. I've been trying to eat healthier so the bread is NOT going to help me with my healthier eating habits lol

Love a fire- in fact, last night my DD and I sat outside around the campfire. I just love to sit by a fire!

My main source of heat is a wood stove. I love it, I feel so serene when I burn wood in it.
