Posted - Oct 19 2012 : 9:19:49 PM Goodness, this has been the most amazing weekend! I got a ton done . . . finished one quilt top, finished a patchwork shower curtain, started and completed a quilt top and made 4 little primitive felt pumpkins. It is amazing what you can get done when you have no responsibilities . . . if I could just figure out how to bottle this and bring it home with me . . .
Hugs & Blessings,
Brenda

Posted - Oct 18 2012 : 4:10:04 PM Thanks Girls . . . it is wonderful. I will get the info. for you, though I think she does them all different locations in Idaho each year. This is my first year and I just came at the suggestion of my friend, so I don't know much . . . she knows the gal that runs it through following her blog. I will start following her blog and will post the info. for you all once I get back.
Not to rub it in (well, okay, maybe just a little . . .) but we had the most amazing breakfast today . . . peach and berry kuchin (Is the the right spelling . . . I know it is pronounced kutchen). I make one with peaches all the time, but have never added berries. It was sooooo good. And amazing quiches too. Lunch was more basic . . . a nice chicken and pear salad with bruchetta with fruit and honey cream sauce. Still very good. Can't wait for dinner.
I did the most hilarious thing today . . . I am embarrassed, but I will bare my soul to you farmgirls . . . I decided to make some funky purses out of some funky pants I had. I had one pair that were jeans with darling embroidered pockets and another pair that were jean style but were a funky rose colored paisley print corduroy. Anyway, I have observed these cute purses out of the pants for years and just assumed I could make them without any instructions. I didn't take into consideration that the butt is bigger than the front and there is a silly curve in the croutch. Anyway, the first attempt was the jeans one. I somehow, in trying to not have it look like a croutch, made it "concaved" in the center and it looked very bizzarre. So, thinking I had learned from this one, I did the corderoy one. This one I believe has a tumor in a very bad place . . . I tried to remove the tumor but it just got worse . . . LOL! My friend laughed hysterically at me, I quickly hid them from the other crafters and we will be burying them before we leave McCall. I am thinking I will actually read some instructions for the future. I have always made fun of my husband for not reading instructions and now it seems I am just as guilty! LOL!
Hugs & Blessings,
Brenda
