Posted - Oct 15 2012 : 05:59:04 AM I was just thinking of some lessons I have learned lately and thought others might have some to share as well. All the little mistakes I have made and learned from. And will hopefully never do again.
So a big lesson I learned (the hard way) is: never give a bored grandchild a hammer and screwdriver and tell her to chip away the ice out of your freezer full of home raised grass fed beef, chicken, pork and produce! BIG lesson learned right there.
Never leave a grandchild alone in your computer room too long. Things are all different when you get back on it.
I will never have turkeys, ducks, guineas, donkeys, llamas or alpacas on this farm. I've had the 1st 3, and will never have the last 3.
Never leave a puppy in the house too long by itself.
I could go on and on. But I would love to hear some of your life lessons.

Posted - Oct 15 2012 : 08:31:15 AM I have learned lots of "life lessons" lately... I know now that just because a craft looks easy to make, it doesnt mean it is.. that having a garden does NOT make you a master gardener (lol).. and more seriously, the people that you hold in the most high regard are often those that will let you down the most! |

Posted - Oct 15 2012 : 06:08:49 AM Kris, I have certainly learned to "Never leave a puppy in the house too long by itself." Just thinking of those memories makes me laugh. I laugh now, but didn't then. And the lesson about the computer, well... I don't leave anyone on my computer too long. Did that! I got all kinds of messages from people I never knew. LOL I could go on and on, too. Marly
