Just bought at auction 89 pieces of Theodore Haviland Limoges France vintage china-It's just beautiful, but I am having a hard time trying to locate the pattern.

Any recommendations for a good on line site for ID or preferred book would be greatly appreciated....

That is a gorgeous pattern, Melody. You sure picked up some treasures.

Annette,

No luck so far...I've been knee deep in getting our house in order for an appraisal and still trying to find some time to head to the library-

Hi Melody,

Any luck in finding your Limoges pattern?

Good luck on the pattern. I have my grandmothers wedding china and it's only missing 1 cup for a service for 12. I have been searching now for years to find the exact pattern....

Oh wow. My mother had Haviland china. I sold it after she died because I never cared for the pattern. I did love the "swirls" that characterize Limoges though. Cool info from Annette! Never knew about that. I swear by Replacements.com, but you do have to be careful. I replaced a few pieces of my Wedgwood Wild Strawberries and they were "irregulars."

I do have a number on the vegetable bowls and platters! I'll look it up....30,000 patterns? Sheesh!

Thank you!

Hello Melody,

Your question is right up my alley! I have some pieces myself and have done a bit of research on them.

On the back of your larger pieces of china; a platter or serving dish should be a number. It is called a Schleiger number which is a way the company keeps track of all the patterns. There are anywhere from 30,000-50,000 different patterns of Haviland Limoges! Go to Haviland online for more info and they will suggest the Schleiger book to help you identify your pattern. Hope this is helpful!

I have a couple of sets of Haviland and found that the best source for china and silver patterns is "Replacements.com"

I'd love to see what you have.
