What is happening to our young people?

What can we do as parents to keep our kids safe?

My thoughts and prayers go out to the families....

I agree this individual has something wrong with his mind. I don't think taking away guns will solve this kind of problem. Like throwing the baby out with the bath water. Sick individuals who want to kill a bunch of people will find a way no matter what. Like driving their car through a crowd, etc. He also had his apartment wired with explosives. I also believe if you have a right, whether you exercise it or not, you should never give it up, because you will never get it back.

I feel sad for the families left behind to deal with this.

Why is it so easy to obtain "assault" like guns?

I have a real problem with the 2nd amendment and our right to bear arms...I really do not think this is what our founding fathers had in mind-

Alee, of course you are right...this poor soul must be in a painful place in his heart and mind and deserves our compassion, also. What he did was evil and I hope the authorities can find his motivation. It certainly can't be the act of a rational mind.

I saw this this morning and am very saddened. So many innocent families torn apart. I even feel sad for the perpetrator. Something went very wrong in his life or his brain and he must be suffering too. My heart and prayers are with everyone involved.

Ay granddaughter lives in Aurora and is the manager of the Noodles in the mall where the shooting took place. I knew that she was closing last night at midnight and I was terrified that her husband would be meeting after work to see the movie. They are huge Batman fans. The shooting happened just as she was leaving the building and she ended up going back and reopening it so that she could supply food for the police. I am so relieved and yet so sad for all the other people involved. What a sad state of affairs...you can't find a safe place any more. People trying to snatch a little girl off the street in broad daylight and now this psychopath killing 12 people and wounding over 50 more.
