Posted - Jul 04 2012 : 09:07:46 AM Every time 4th of July comes I remember fondly that shortly after we moved here to the Forgotten Corner that nearby chapter leaders were invited to a Farmgirl camp out after the Farm Fair--I thought I died an gone to heaven: ) We got to hang around the Plum Pit fire pit with MJ and ended up sleeping in the wall tents, outside bed and hammock in the Plum Pit and Cindy Lou and I got to sleep on the trampoline! Not the whole night because as the night progressed it was getting colder and dew was beginning to form on our sleeping bags and Cindy Lou suggested that we move to the loft above the kitchen/bunk house. We dropped our sleeping bags on the floor went to the loft, moved boxes off the two beds up there and settled under the lovely down comforters. We shared breakfast goodies we brought and Julie Bell brought eggs from the hen house and made breakfast for us. I miss the Farm Fair's at the Farm--it's such a magical place. |
