Posted - Jun 04 2012 : 11:57:13 AM I used to watch the show with Mama, but as I got older I found I preferred the books. The cookbook and craft books are fun too.

Posted - Jun 03 2012 : 2:23:12 PM On our ABC affiliate in the Bangor area, Little House was run all the time. Loved it when I was younger, but as I read biographies on Laura and her up bringing, I became disappointed in the tv series. Roger Lea Macbride, who was considered a "grandson" by Laura's daughter, Rose (who never had children herself), had a place in Biddeford Pool, Maine. I wrote to him, after he had a book signing in a local book store, and asked if he had any input on the tv series itself. He said he did in the beginning, but the producers wouldn't listen to him and did what they wanted anyway. He, too, became disenfranchised by the series as well.
