I used to watch the show with Mama, but as I got older I found I preferred the books. The cookbook and craft books are fun too.

On our ABC affiliate in the Bangor area, Little House was run all the time. Loved it when I was younger, but as I read biographies on Laura and her up bringing, I became disappointed in the tv series. Roger Lea Macbride, who was considered a "grandson" by Laura's daughter, Rose (who never had children herself), had a place in Biddeford Pool, Maine. I wrote to him, after he had a book signing in a local book store, and asked if he had any input on the tv series itself. He said he did in the beginning, but the producers wouldn't listen to him and did what they wanted anyway. He, too, became disenfranchised by the series as well.

My maiden name is Laura Ingram. I got ribbed as Laura Ingles all the time. It didn't bother me...lol...my grandmother used to tell me she reminded her of herself when she was young.

I like Little House on the Prairie. I get a kick out of Nelly. It's such a clean, family show.

O, a trouble's a ton or a trouble's an ounce,
Or a trouble is what you make it!
And it isn't the fact that you're hurt that counts,
But only--how did you take it?

I actually loved Mrs. Olsen, she was hysterical with Nelly. But my favorite would have to be "Pa"....Michael Landon.

Ma and Mr. Edwards were always my favorites-how about you? And yes, I secretly loved it when Mr. Olsen got in a few victories over Nelly and Mrs. Olsen!
