I just love to look out the window at differnt areas of our place, cheap entertainment maybe but no better way to admire the view! My favorite view has to be out my kitchen window, where I have full view of the barn. Most of the time I can see the ducks swimming in their pool, or chickens running all about. We also have a bird cafe set up where I can watch all kinds of birds raid the feeders or take a bath. Not to mention all the flowers in sight! So, tell me what YOUR favorite view from your place is?

This morning my grandson Brody went with his father for a visit. It's the first time he's had him in seven months. I prayed he would get in the car okay as he doesn't know his father at all. So, my favorite window this morning was the back seat window of his fathers car and the little guy was waving to me and blowing me kisses. I had him mentally all prepared for this little excersion and his beautiful little face yelling "bye bye mommom" from the back seat has made me feel very peaceful about him going. I am counting down the hours until he comes home. Susan

Well there are so many pictures in my mind, my grandchildren walking up the driveway, my big kids doing the same. and My dh getting out of his truck at dinner time walking up the driveway, the leaves comming down like rain on a bright windy day, I could go on and on, I guess windows are a very good thing.

This morning my favorite view is out my kitchen window in the trailer in Arkky. In the driveway was 3 yearling does and a 2 year old buck graizing on grass. It looked like a Thomas Kinkade painting. :)

Oh how I am enjoying all your stories from your favorite views, aren't we blessed! Such a simple act that grounds us and reminds us just how lucky we are! Libbie, I had my hubby make a square arbor from landscape timbers where we hung all sorts of feeders and a bird gym which they love to swing on plus a hanging birdbath, silly entertainment but so much fun to watch! Mumof3, love to hear about your bedspring arbor? Buffalo, how cool is that! Keep the stories coming, I love them all!

I love the view from the bedrooms. The door from my bedroom opens into the backyard. You can see the backyard, hen house, pasture and most of the acre garden, beyond the garden into the forest. If you step ot the door and look to the left you look across more of the yard and down to the pond. Second is the bay window near my desk. I have bird feeders hanging there. They keep me entertained when I'm writing.

My favorite view is out the window in my sewing room. I can sew and look up into the woods behind our house to watch birds and wild life. I also love the view from my front porch which looks down onto our little town -- especially at night with all the street lights on. It's so pretty!

I like looking out the living room window, right beside my desk here, to the field where I can see my greenhouse with all the smiling, bright colored zinnias and coreopsis in front of it. I can also watch the antics of the squirrels as they try to figure out how to climb the poles that hold the birdfeeders, which today was like a bee's nest with pine siskins and purple finches. I also have a wild bunny that likes to come and see what he can get below the feeders. I feel so blessed to live here when I look out this window.
I even like this window at night when all the moths congregate to the light of the lamp. The neverending patterns on their wings fascinate me. Okay maybe I'm weird, but I think some of them are really beautiful.

My favorite window view is out the smallish window over the sewing machine ...in my laundry room of all places. It looks out to the back yard, garden and the animals. I never tired of that view. I love seeing the mountains out the front big picture window, but that view out the back is my favorite!

I love looking out my kitchen windows at my Amish neighbors harvesting their corn and tobacco. I do get a bit frightened, though, when I see too many of the younger children out there. I always say a little prayer for their safety. But seeing them do all this work with their eight Belgians just gives me this peace and makes me snile. Susan

Out the kitchen window I can see the barns as well as the chickens and turkeys, the bird feeder and the humming bird feeder that was used quite a bit this summer. Out the side slider I can see the horses and cows as and across the road to the neighbors field that is growing some very green hay right now.

From my kitchen window and my french doors I can see past the field next to mine to the next where buffalo graze. I love looking and seeing them there. I get the feeling that I'm lost in time when I see them.

Through the panes of my dining room windows, I can watch birds coming to feast at the feeder hanging from the bedspring arbor. We have had a wide variety of birds this year, and it is such a peaceful time sitting at the table, eating my breakfast, watching them eat theirs!!

From my kitchen window I can watch my goats! They are so funny! One of my does knows I watch from the window and will stand right across from it and yell at me when she wants something.

I love the view from most of my windows. However, no mountains....:( This morning when I opened our bedroom curtains, a huge owl was in our birdbath. He saw me immediately but did not leave. He seemed to washing his feet! How beautiful he was.

I can look out my kitchen window, which is right above the sink, and look to the East, where I can see across our property all the way to the mountain that borders our valley. I can see the sheep in our field, chickens in their "tractors," and the dust from trucks as they drive down the canal road that borders our farm to the South. The mountain is large and imposing, and I just love this view - it is so satisfying to have a gift like that view - one that nobody can build in front of or take away....

Sue - I love your bird cafe! I can almost see it - I may have to set one up here - what exactly does yours look like?
