Such a pretty little book. with several drawings in it. Wasn't this a PBS SERIES?

I loved the series "Cranford" Then again I have loved all the BBC series we cant on our PBS channels. I would love to read the books some day.

That is quite a treasure you have, enjoy it!

Cool! I've never seen a book cover with little flowers like that. The PBS series was called Cranford, but they took parts of the plot from two or three other books by Mrs. Gaskell as well. So if you read it and don't find things you remember from the tv series, keep reading her other books. ;) I think she originally wrote them around 1845-1850.

Yes PBS did have a series based on Cranford. Great series by the way. You have a little treasure with that book.
