.. or more importantly, how you step.

Monday I was out power walking, listening to great country music on my Ipod, sun was shining and I was having a great walk when... I stepped wrong and twisted my ankle and WENT DOWN.

Thanks to a couple of boys on sk8boards. I got home .

Sprained my ankle, cut my head and have a mild concussion and 3 broken ribs.

This getting in shape can be dangerous if you're a klutz like me

I wear a helmet when I ride my horses but it seems I need it more for getting stuff out of the horse trailer. Always whacking my head on the doors. Can't say how many times I'm glad for my clunky ole helmet!

I hope you heal well and fast Michele. It seems every time we get hurt it slows us down a little. But maybe this one won't stick with you for long. Take care Dear.

lol I am a klutz too! When I first started "walking" for exercise, I fell and bruise a kidney. I was projectile vommitting and couldn't move, my husband after 4 hours of me being on the ground and the vomitting not ceasing had to call 911 to take me in a ambulance to the hospital! lol It took me like 3 months to recover, I could barely walk. I was in the hospital for a week, and they swore my husband had beat me up. I couldn't get them to believe I did it to my self WALKING!

Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers. I hope I won't be down for long but the older I get, the longer it seems to take to snap back. I am not very patient. Too much to do

OMg, I hope you feel better soon! I'm so sorry you went down like that-ouch!! It was good to hear that the boys w/the skateboards helped you get home. Be careful and get well!

Michele, get better fast. It can get dangerous out there with uneven pavement. I am so worried about that happening to me when I walk. I have 2 new hips and a bone disease and cannot walk real well, but do like to walk, just have to be careful not to go too fast, or I will go down. I did that in the fall and fell flat on my face, good thing I did not twist, or my hips would have popped out of place. I ended up with a loose front tooth though. Again, be careful and take it easy for awhile.

OMG! And here I thought I was the biggest klutz, I don't know I think you might take the prize for that one. Sprained ankle, cut, concussion, and broken ribs? Girl, when you want to hurt yourself you don't mess around. Thank goodness for those two boys who aided you! What nice young men!

No more walking for you for a couple of days. Take it easy and let those owies mend!
