I bought my first Vintage Card Wednesday a 1913 Thanksgiving Card.
Tammy C. got me started on collecting Vintage Cards about a month ago and I love them. Thank you FarmSister.
It is wonderful collecting other folks memories but what about ours now? I have been collecting cards that I have received over the years to put in a scrapbook for my family one day. Son, Grandchildren, Nieces whoever I was close to that might enjoy them. I was adopted at a very young age so I do not have anything from my past so, I collect others memories and make my own for my family now and future family one day.
I can just hear my future granddaughter/son one day saying "look at all Grandma's cards she collected over the years, aren't they wonderful!" As one day my collection will be "Vintage" and I will be able to share my family memories.
I just thought we should start a separate thread for our Vintage Card Memories, as they have been the talk of the forum for quite awhile now.
Let's see your Memories.
Farmgirl Hugs,
Debbie

Oh Margo, how wonderful for you that you have Vintage Cards from your own childhood what treasures for you.
Yes, this was a lovely Thanksgiving Card, I was fortunate that the girls I were shopping with were not interested.
You girls should see some of the sweet ones Tammy C. has sent me, I look at them over and over.
Farmgirl Hugs,
Debbie

debbie- very pretty!
i have some wonderful cards from my own childhood- my grandmother and great aunts at Easter etc!
i think that the art work was so special--that's what i love about my old old children's books from the 1920's and 30's ...won't part with them!
