LEMONADES!!!!!!!Every year I buy the same old girl scout cookies. Shortbread and Peanut Butter. This year I decided to broaden my horizon so I bought Caramel Delights and Lemonades. The caramel delights were okay. But the Lemonades were so delicious. My eyes will be seaching out a girl scout next week for more of the Lemonades. The ones I bought yesterday will not last long! I am going to make a girl scout very happy. Because I am banking on 5 boxes!!!LOL

Margo,

Once again, I am with you on the idea of "Sugar Free Pop Tarts!
I would take any flavor except cherry. Not big on cherry.
I like the blueberry, honeybun, cookie dough, strawberry,
ice-cream sundae, and anyone that has the word chocolate
attached. LOL!

I am surprised, they have not produced a sugar free pop tart.
There market is aimed a children. I am sure there are a lot of
kiddo's who are diabetic, who would love the experience of eating
a pop tart.

I think, I will take the time and write a letter to the company.
If you feel up to it, maybe you could do the same. This might be a good idea to post and get our farmsisters involved.

Hope your day is going well.
Remember to rest.

Love ya like a pop tart!

oh buzznbee!!!!! debbie you have got the mint thing down!!!!
since i had my gastric bypass surgery in 2004 (eeks~ almost 8 years ago!!) i can't have the cookies so i have to settle for the sugar free candy that taste somewhat like it! i've learned-unfortunately-how to eat around my bypass sometimes -i would have to look to see what a "normal" serving of the mints was and how much the sugar value of said "normal" serving then cut it down to how many cookies would equal 5 or less grams of sugar---ahhhhhh lotsa work --i don't know that i have the discipline to do it so better not try!!!!

i have decided on a side note that kelloggs is missing the boat on poptart sales -they need to make a sugar free poptart -any flavor would do for me!!! i really miss poptarts!!!!and twinkies...can ya understand why i had my gastric bypass?????? love all things bad for ya and i haven't begun to list my faves!!! and no will power!!!!!!!

oh i really doooooooooooooooooooooo miss thin mints! i was a Girl Scout and sold them and my daughter was for 12 years so we had mucho boxes-make that cases!! go thru our house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like Margo,

Mint cookies, Mint Cookies, Mint Cookies, Mint Cookies!
Now repeat after me; Mint Cookies, Mint Cookies, Mint Cookies!
You are getting sleepy; MINT COOKIES,MINT COOKIES, MINT COOKIES!

Now you have been hypnotized farmgirl style. The only thing left?

Freeze cookies, open, eat one sleeve before noon. Hide other sleeve
of cookies behind bags of frozen peas. Bring out of hiding after
all family members are asleep. Eat second sleeve of cookies, Hide
empty box in bottom of trash, brush teeth, go to bed. Sweet Dreams!

Next morning: Up with a smile, get dressed, tell family you are going to go for a walk, or run to get in your daily exercise. Now, beat it
to your local grocery store and look for the Girl Scouts cookie table.

Grab up another box of MINTS. Panic!!! Left your wallet at home,
head for home..grab wallet, run back to store, grab 5 boxes of MINTS.
Go ahead, grab 5, all of that exercise, you earned it. LOL!

Consume one box on the way home. Hide other 4 boxes in freezer, Lock
freezer door, Hide the key (safe place of course.) Wait for family to retire for the night. Smile and dance all the way to the freezer.

Sweet dreams! Repeat daily until Girl Scouts are sold out.

There! I gave you the run down on MINTS.

You go girl..Ooops! go back..You forgot to put on your running shoes.

I'm sorry, I forgot. I MINT to tell you that you can count on me to
keep your secret. LOL!

According to wikipedia, the old lemon flavor I remember must have been Lemon Chalet Cremes. The name sounds familiar, but I don't remember any cinnamon flavor to them.

I never knew that there are different bakeries used in different parts of the country, and that the cookies go by different names depending on which baker your council uses.

I saw GS Thin Mint ice cream yesterday...
I had to run out of the isle before I could be tempted to open the freezer case!
I'm trying to remember the name of the lemon cookie.. being that my girls sold them for years...
I know one version of the lemon cookie was called Lemon Spritzer, but that had powdered sugar on it.. hmmm...still thinking...

Thin mints are hands down the best cookies ever.

But, since I don't eat (much) chocolate the lemonades are a close second. I have a box of both on my desk right now, the mints are for momma when I go visit!

Now I have to see if I can order some thin mints...they keep in the freeze for a LONG time (well let me clarify that....they WOULD last a long time IF you could restrain your self from eating them- a full sleeve at a time as Margo said! LOL)
They have been my favorite since day one!
And Amie- I DO remember those lemon sandwich GS Cookies too- cant remember what they were called but I do remember them!

Marly and Laurie. Now you have my curiosity up about the mint cookie. Will have to try a box of those also. Oh my maybe its because i am getting old or something. But all of the sudden I am having an urge to try all of the girl scout cookies! LOL
Amie the Lemonades is just one big round cookie with a lemon type frosting on one side. Not a sandwich cookie. Don't know if they are new or not!

I don't think I've ever had Lemonades. There was a lemon-flavored GS cookie years ago, but I don't remember what it was called. It was two lemon wafers with some frosting between, like a lemon flavored oreo. Are Lemonades the same thing? I've been out of the GS loop for awhile.
