Posted - Feb 08 2012 : 07:04:11 AM Miss Wilma sent me a cutter quilt piece a few years ago. I made this pillow. Then I was reminded when I got this magazine of all the things you could make with old quilt pieces. Posted a picture.

Posted - Feb 08 2012 : 3:26:33 PM I like those ideas Nancy Jo! My mom gave me her double wedding ring quilt that was made by my great-grandma and it has seen better days. She wants me to cut it up and make her, me and my sister either throw pillows or teddy bears. I just can't bring myself to cut it up though.
Have fun crafting with your cutter quilt!
Hugs~ Melanie

Posted - Feb 08 2012 : 3:18:32 PM Oh how I love old quits. I have three which were from my Great Aunt. They are all in pretty good shape- and we actually USE them as quilts. They backing on them is made from old feed sacks- you can see the printing in some spots- to me that just adds so much character. I believe they would be considered to be in the crazy quilt style. They are SUPER warm- and I just love them. Someday if they become destined to be "cutter quilts" I too will be looking for ideas- the footstool or even a seat cover is a very cute idea! Good Luck Nancy Jo! Smiles,
