My good friend Heidi Shaulis just listed a painting of my dog Truman on her Etsy site! Wow...was I surprised! Over the years I have purchased several of her paintings of Charlie (the tuxedo cat) because they reminded me so my of our dearly departed Tibbits. She is so talented and such a nice lady-

I LOVE Heidi's work-Check out her paintings at- http://www.etsy.com/listing/92271544/original-jack-russell-terrier-dog-oil

Melody,
Truman is looking good! I think its amazing when someone can paint something and you can tell what it is. I can draw stick people and they really aren't very good. How nice to have that picture. We love our pets.

Love it, Melody--that's just wonderful. I would love, love, love to have a painting done of my crew--we have some of Finn (because he's my boy-o) but it would be nice to have the whole clan.

Oh Margaret! I am sorry to hear that about Freckles. We've had Truman since he was about 10 weeks old and the runt of a rather good sized litter. He's from Missouri and has a rather esteemed lineage-which I highly doubt. I think he must be half goat. He used to eat everything and at first we thought we should have named him "Hoover!" We do like the little bugger although his barking can fray your nerves after a while. He ADORES DH and won't have anything to do with me when daddy gets home! Do you have a photo of Freckles?

Melody,
I LOVE the painting of your darling JRT, Truman...what a great name! We too have a JRT. Her name is "Freckles" but unfortunately she does not know her name as she is deaf...we adore this wee dog to bits! What a treasure this painting is!

Melody: Thanks for sharing this link. I love Charlie, the tuxedo cat, because it reminds me of my beloved tuxedo cat, Henry Dragon.
