Well how about that I named a Farm. That is just a pretty nice thing to know. Please consider that my prize. I mean that is pretty important and an honor. Thank you!

Jen, Yes it does. Wish I were smart enough to figure out how to do blog headers and buttons.

Great suggestions ladies, it was Sooo hard to pick "winners" because I think all the suggestions were "winningly" creative :) I really appreciate all the care that went into helping me, because was totally drawing a blank!

First place honors go to Nancy Jo with "Silver Star Farm" (Now of Tonopah, AZ-- thanks for the last minute entry!) It suits history, my animals, and any products I may market. The only google search brings up a horse boarding ranch in New Hampshire... pretty different type of place! and should not cause any confusion. There are a few more Silver Stars on facebook, but I've got some ideas to work with there!

Did you know that I also hail from "The Silver State?" :D It works on so many levels!

Second place goes to Ruby V for "Golden Sun Farm". It was a close one between the two, especially since the majority of my eggs come from "Golden 300" ducks. :D

Third place goes to Gail for "Dry Crick Farm", very creative-- We actually have a "river" about a mile away called the Hassayampa that is only wet during a monsoon, and counless "dry cricks" and washes! It would be such a funny "in" joke for the locals.

Thank you Luanne, Candy, Sharon, Diane, Madeline, Deborah, and Joey for participating! (hope I didn't forget anybody!?)

What a neat idea! I posted on your site, but will also post my suggestion here:
Since the name Silvermoon Farm means so much to you, I'd suggest something that is the opposite reflection - Golden Sun Farm. The sun gives life to everything you grow or raise on the farm. A cheery yellow sun label would give a nice warm feeling to any product you might sell in the future. Good luck with your farm!

Madaline, I feel that way about Arizona too. The only thing I have left to do on my bucket list is to see my DH see the Grand Canyon. Love it there. Joey

Lovely entries gals!
I will be closing the contest at 12 am pacific on monday feb 13th. (through sunday night in other words.) How I am going to do it is first place will get first pick of the 3 prizes picked out, 2nd place second choice, etc. I may still play around with the "winning" names to piece a name together that doesn't infringe on an established farm name, or make adjustments to fit a business card :D either way, this sure is a fun contest to judge!!

I tried to enter a comment but it would not let me post without a profile. Sorry. I'm suggesting "Desert Dawn Farm." Good luck. Joey
