Posted - Feb 01 2012 : 11:59:34 AM It's been in the 70's here too, and it's the mildest winter we've had in years. It makes me worried that summer will be awful again!

Posted - Feb 01 2012 : 06:23:23 AM Turned on house AC yesterday, it was so humid and in the high 60s. Slept with the bedroom AC on last night. Forecast today is in the 70s. I just know when I plant/transplant the garden in March there will be a freeze in April. I have my flats ready and will start my tomaotes, banana peppers and eggplant seeds today. We had RAINlast week and yesterday about 1/2 inch both times. Thank goodness got hubby to till the garden before the rain. Need to get the beds rowed up, and the nanny berries spread, but it will all happen.

Posted - Jan 31 2012 : 4:33:19 PM It was in the 60's here. Usually the end of January is the coldest time of the year. I hope it gets good and cold so we don't have a bug plague this summer. I've heard that in some places, flowers are popping up that normally don't appear till late March. Cindy

Posted - Jan 31 2012 : 4:33:18 PM Just went for a walk - started out with a softshell jacket and a sweatshirt, then unzipped the sweatshirt, then shed the jacket - amazing!! Plus I saw tons of robins - does that mean spring or is everything so wacky now that it doesn't mean anything any more? Alee - I've been keeping an eye on Montana weather because I'm driving to Bozeman Monday - next week looks even better:) Amy Grace

Posted - Jan 31 2012 : 4:22:51 PM It's been up in the 50's here and will be for the rest of the week. This winter has been a bust!! This summer, we're going to get eaten alive with bugs. It did this about 7 or so years ago and the horses were miserable. The bugs just laughed at fly sheets and bug spray!!

Posted - Jan 31 2012 : 12:43:35 PM Marly- Spring around here doesn't usually show it's face until early May!! This is just the strangest weather I have ever seen! Normally right now I would be shovelling walks or bundling up hoping I didn't freeze when I ran to start the car. Now I am glad I only spent $200 to get some propane because if this keeps going we are going to need ac not heat!

Posted - Jan 31 2012 : 12:28:51 PM Got you beat Alee. Got windows open, doors open, fans on and truly considering turning the AC on. Yes this is Texas but January is usually our coldest time of the year. The thermometer in the living room is showing 83.
