Has anybody seen this? Silly question I'm sure some have.

Just watched it the other night. Though I know the message was geared towards men I thought it was equally relevant to women. To be really present in our children's lives. It's very easy to think we're doing "good enough" but is good enough really enough? I also liked the message of mentoring.

There are very sad parts, but overall it is uplifting. I'm not much one for sad movies and I liked it. The sad parts are what lead to the happy parts, if that makes sense.

I wondered how this movie was as I liked Fireproof made by the same company. DH said he didn't want to see it as it looked too sad. I'm not sure how I will do (not sure of the content) as I know it involves police officers and my big brother is one.

The Casting Crown cd is my current "clothes folding" music. It's a new cd and I don't think I've listened to all of it yet because it only takes me 4 songs to fold and put away 3 loads of clothes and I love the first song so much I keep going back to the beginning.

I loved Fireproof and did the Love Dare last year, it was a powerful movie. But, we couldn't get all the way through Courageous - at one point we were both crying and we didn't finish it.

However, I love the Casting Crowns theme song. I'm a huge Casting Crowns fan.

Didn't realize there was a book to go with Courageous, I'll have to look it up!

We own all the Kendrick brothers' movies. I think Facing the Giants might be my favorite and I don't even like football.

I just finished the book. I loved Fireproof and the Love Dare so I knew I would love this. It was great. I love reading the stories simply because it takes longer making me really think about it all. I also bought couregous living to read next.

Julie I was wondering how the resolution book was going for you. I am interested in reading that too and was wondering how you liked it.

I ordered both Courageous and Fly Wheel for my hubby's birthday and the came yesterday. Can't wait for movie night to see them. I bought him the buckets of Orville Rechenbacher movie popcorn so we can pretend we are in the theater!! :-)

It is a fantastic movie! My husband and I watched it, and then we had all of our children watch it, too. Our church is also doing a bible study right now with the message of the movie as the focus of the study.

I've been reading The Resolution for Women, which I found at Hastings. It's a woman's guide and list of resolutions geared toward women. Can't wait to see the movie.

It's a wonderful movie. I feel we as parents should always be there for kids no matter what's happening in our life. God gives children to love ,teach and to let grow. It's our job to do that.

Beverly, the title is Courageous. It should be on pay per view, net flix. I saw it in Walmart. We got our copy at our local Christian bookstore.

Yes! We watched it the other night for "date night" and then the kids all watched it too. I really enjoyed it. I totally agree with the message.

I have to share something too. My husband went to a funeral a few months back. A co-worker had lost his 21 year old son during the night after taking his medications. It was never clear as to if he OD or not, but either way, the young man passed. This co-worker has since quit his job to work overseas. He just can't handle not being in his son's life more when he was alive. He kept telling my hubby that he had always told his son "no, I don't have time right now" and said those words will haunt him forever. Sad story, but wanted to share.
