I came across this in my cedar chest, forgot I had it. So it was fun to look at again. Wish I had known her. I have two of her diaries and I love reading them.
Had a heavy snow here late this afternoon, seems to be calmer out now. I went to the thrift store this morning after taking my daughter to work, picked up a few things, I will post that in a few days. Today I posted the scrapbook.

I really enjoy looking at the pictures on your blog. I love to read your story to each photo. Thanks.

I think Scrapbooks and keeping advertizing cards and calling cards was the thing to do. Joey, that is a good idea to leave something behind for your Grand children.

Oh Nancy, what a treasure! I was so close to my grandmother and would have LOVED to have her scrapbook. I guess we didn't think to write to/about people you saw everyday years ago. I have 1 letter she sent me at camp, a recipe and a postcard she sent someone else. Just seeing her handwriting brings joy to my heart. I am so aware that my grandgirls children may not know me and I have started scrapbooks and letters to those unborn children before my time runs out. What a treasure you have. Thanks for sharing. It was so fun to see. Joey

What a treasure! The cards are beautiful! It must have been so fun to go through. Sad that you didn't get to know her in person, but it is so neat that you have the diaries to get to know her and read her thoughts!

Hi Nancy, I also have a few old scrapbooks of my grandmother or my great aunt. I love them and they are precious to me since they are all gone now. Years ago. So you have such a treasure.
