Posted - Dec 27 2011 : 10:58:58 AM I don't know where to post this, so will start here. Our office was collecting bottle caps (the little ones off soda and water bottles) for a charity, but apparently the collection drive has ended. I have a big bag of them, and wondered if I should throw them away or if any of you know another place that could use them?
Thanks! Luanne

Posted - Jan 01 2012 : 10:24:53 AM I use plastic caps to make refrigerator magnets that look like hats. Someone told me my little hats could make good little pin cushions, also.

Thanks! Luanne

Posted - Dec 27 2011 : 6:52:36 PM I wish I could remember where I saw it, but I saw a piece of wood about 1"thick x 4" wide and 12" long... then there were metal bottle caps (think beer) that were nailed flat side down so that the ruffles edge was facing up... There were rows of caps, 4caps across and I think 6 caps long,(about 24caps total) so the remaining 5-6" of wood was not covered w/caps(to hold down while scraping) then you use the caps to scrap your shoes/boots across to scrap off the dirt/mud...

Posted - Dec 27 2011 : 1:36:29 PM Are those the plastic screw top lids or the metal bottle caps? If they are the plastic ones, you can make super cute pincushions out of them.
