I don't know where to post this, so will start here. Our office was collecting bottle caps (the little ones off soda and water bottles) for a charity, but apparently the collection drive has ended. I have a big bag of them, and wondered if I should throw them away or if any of you know another place that could use them?

Thanks!
Luanne

I use plastic caps to make refrigerator magnets that look like hats. Someone told me my little hats could make good little pin cushions, also.

There is only one that I know of and they are not taking them from anyone currently (Aveda hair products/salons).

These are the plastic caps that are on water bottles, soda bottles, etc. I have about 200 of them if I could just find a charity that needed them.

Thanks!

I wish I could remember where I saw it, but I saw a piece of wood about 1"thick x 4" wide and 12" long... then there were metal bottle caps (think beer) that were nailed flat side down so that the ruffles edge was facing up...
There were rows of caps, 4caps across and I think 6 caps long,(about 24caps total) so the remaining 5-6" of wood was not covered w/caps(to hold down while scraping) then you use the caps to scrap your shoes/boots across to scrap off the dirt/mud...

If they are the metal ones check with your local 4-H clubs. We send them to Little Rock childrens hospital and St. Judes in Memphis.

Are those the plastic screw top lids or the metal bottle caps? If they are the plastic ones, you can make super cute pincushions out of them.
