The fair starts today (my birthday!!). I have decided not only am I going to haul the animals up for the girls (30 chickens, 2 rabbits and 2 sheep) but I'm going to enter too! DH has an antique tractor entered so I'm going to enter cherry tomatoes, super sonic tomatoes, eggplant, and pickles. This will be my first time so wish me luck, here we go!

Well, back from the fair. Love fair week but am glad it is only a week, I need a vacation of sleep. We did well, my pickles got a perfect score and won first place (secretly I am sooooooo excited), the tomatoes came in 3rd (that is saying something in NJ) and the eggplant got 3rd. The girls did well too, Becca's rabbits took best of breed and reserve best of breed, Caiti had a best of breed with her BB Red Hen and a reserve best rooster with her Dominique. She came in 3rd with both her lambs. The girls are already planning for next year and can't wait. Thanks for all the wonderful birthday greetings!!

Have fun! And happy birthday!! The kids and I turned in our little entries yesterday and will find out what ribbons they got tomorrow after school. Our fair here is this week too.!
