I finally tackled our messy, insane, blah bedroom this weekend. It only cost $35! I am pretty proud of that.

Just thought I'd share with everyone.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. :) Makes a girl feel fantastic lol. I really am pleased with the way the room turned out. Everytime I walk in I feel a smile spread across my face, not to mention we are both sleeping better. ;)

If you are organizing/redecorating I urge you to keep going! I never knew that having just one room done could feel so dang good.

Kim the bedroom is beautifulllll! I re did my bedroom last spring . I used some vintage fabric I had bought about 25 years ago when I went shopping with my Grandma , Aunt, and Mom. Every time I look at the curtains I made with the fabric it brings back memories of our shopping day together. My grandmother has passed on now. I remember her picking the fabric out with me. Anyways my bedroom turned out beautiful. Its a great feeling to walk in and see it. And know you did it all on your own!! We women are so talented!

You did a wonderful job. It reminds me of old country Victorian. The comforter idea is absolute GENIUS! I will be stealing that idea from you.

Beautiful! I love what you did with the down comforter. Nice job. And I bet you will spend more time in there now.

Great job Kim! Chocolate, red or white always give a room some elegance.

That is right down inspiring-I'm slowly uncluttering my room & half of it looks like a mess. Your room gives me hope!

Wow, Kim! What a lovely bedroom! I am in that situation right now trying to redo the spare bedroom in blues and browns from a multi-colored room with black furniture.
