Posted - Nov 14 2011 : 1:36:55 PM I couldn't believe I finally sold my Double Wedding Ring quilt on Etsy this afternoon. When I found out I felt kind of sad...didn't expect to feel that. It took me a very long time to hand quilt the vintage 30's top with (scalloped) edges and all and I had it for years at the house. A very nice lady from Alabama bought as a wedding present for her daughter...and I will be shipping it out this week.
Ever get attached to ojets d'art?

Posted - Nov 15 2011 : 08:36:48 AM Yep-I recently sold a ukulele gig bag I made to a woman who had purchased it for her grand daughter. I was shocked at how much I really liked that gig bag and sorta hated to see it go. Thankful to find this must be a normal thing with creatives!

Posted - Nov 14 2011 : 2:24:57 PM Gosh I was that way with every piece of art I had ever created...including my 350lb. metal sculpture LOL. All my pieces feel like an extension of me and who I am. I have gotten a bit better over the years, still miss my metal sculpture though.

Posted - Nov 14 2011 : 1:39:50 PM Absolutely. The list is endless--some have value, most do not, except to me. I bet that is just a lovely quilt, and what a thoughtful gift from a mother to daughter.
