I am so inspired by the young women these days who are living their lives in such unique and creative ways! This blogger reminds me of another one, Kellie Falconer (see her blog in MJF off the grid section under new wood stove). Amazing young women with talent and an abundance of new perspective and strength that is unique to the "Y" generation. I think it takes courage, conviction and a huge determination to live a different sort of life these days.It does remind me of a sort of updated Tasha Tudor with technology hidden under the apron! At age 60, I wish I had had the courage and inspiration at that young age to follow a more internal conversation instead of allowing the societal norms for the time to drive me. All I can say, is YOU GO GIRLS!!! Don't settle for what you dont't want because you only get one shot at this thing called life here on earth and you can't go back and redo those years later on.

I just read this blog and was drawn into the warmth and beauty of how she seems to be living in a style from the past in present day. It is on my favorites list. Thank you for sharing it.

I have also been following this blog for a while. The thing I find interesting and unusual also about this woman, is she is african american which is unusual for this style choice of living. She is of a religion though I believe that also drives this life style. She's very nice if you contact her she will email you back.

Thanks Julie!

Thanks. I just added her to my favorites list. I wonder where they are in Ga? I would love to go see their place. It does seem very Tasha Tudorish. And they all seem so happy doing things the old ways still.

Julie, I have this blog on my popular site, I check in often. Seems so beautiful and busy. Lotz of work, but their place shows years of consistent work. Funny tho! how happy and serene it seems. Even with all the hard work. Most people today, just don't want to work that hard. My litttle farm is nothing spectatular but it is down to earth, and its mine. And it brings me pleasure, just to walk out the door and look around. This coming year I am working on reorganizing and prioritizing my life so that more time is spent doing things I want to accomplish around here, instead of doing just what it takes to get by. This may not make much sense, sometimes, there is just not words for what I want to do or feel. Thanks for bringing this forum up. Have a great week!
