Posted - Aug 14 2006 : 1:50:05 PM Hi all, I just got back from a three week vacation to Seattle, Washington. My friend and I went to visit his children and to see the new grandbaby when it arrived. We were just in time....his son and wife had a beautiful little baby boy, so beautiful. While we were there we took a side three day trip to Idaho and looked for Moscow. As long as we didn't know what we would be doing while in Seattle, we didn't bother to call so we could plan a visit to Maryjane's Farm....but we found the lane where the farm is located and my friend took a photo of me standing beside the Wild Iris Lane sign. What an absolutely beautiful area....!! I loved it and Moscow was a very nice little city. I so enjoyed my visit to Washington and Idaho. If I could get my kids to move, I'd move there in a heartbeat. You are very lucky people who live there.

Posted - Aug 16 2006 : 5:00:43 PM Karin, I wanted to go further down the lane, but if there is one thing about me, it is that I follow rules and I don't want to intrude. I know my privacy is very important to me, so I respected Mary Jane's.... I am so glad and thrilled that I got that far. And how lucky am I that I have such an understanding "mate" in my Gene, he wanted me to get as close as I could. I've never known another man who would have done that for me.
Now I have to come back down to earth and settle in to my routine again.....to work I go....
I'm baaaaack!! Georgette

Posted - Aug 15 2006 : 05:41:28 AM Georgette- I'm glad you are back - I've missed your posts! What a treat to find your postcard in the mailbox on Saturday!! Thank you! It sounds like you had such a wonderful time. If it were me, I would have inched down Wild Iris Ln a bit more just to catch a glimpse of the farm! How did you withstand temptation?

Posted - Aug 14 2006 : 6:40:51 PM Georgette -- thank you for your kind words about our part of the country! I had never been to Moscow, or Idaho for that matter, until we went for Farm Fair. It is some of the most beautiful countryside I've ever laid eyes on. But Washington is gorgeous too -- I'm a little partial!

How great that you got to visit Idaho. Wish I had known. Would've driven down to meet you and say Hi. But, I know it's hard to plan for things like that when you have limited time on vacation. Glad you liked it here.
