We were waiting to hear on a purchase agreement on a farm and were supposed to hear today. This was a farm that we'd basically had verbal agreement on with the sellers and had no reason to believe they would have any issues with the purchase agreement we sent them. We already had the closing agreement verbally agreed on, which would have been a month from today.

Well, today our realtor told us the sellers have decided to stay in their home and take it off the market. (What???) This is the third farm we've tried to buy in six months and I'm really feeling down about everything. I know that when the time is right we will end where we are supposed to be, but this is driving me nuts and I'm kind of bummed out tonight. :(

Oh, Amy - I am so sorry to hear this happened again. I know how you've struggled with this. I will be praying that your dreams come true in this soon. I just know God has an amazing opportunity in store for you!

Amy, that happened to me once too and I remember how upset I felt. But, looking back now I am so glad I didn't get that property. For I found a much better place in a different town. So, Good Luck in your search it is out there to be found.

Sorry to hear that news, I know how you feel. We have been farm hunting forever..or at least it seems that way! We keep telling ourselves that when the right one comes along we will know..as weve looked at so many. It's a shame that so many farms are being broken up into little pieces!

Thanks for the well wishes and kind words, everyone. We just got back from four days in the northwoods and it was nice to clear our heads. I am glad that the sellers backed out now instead of three days from closing, so that is a good thing. We are moving on and hopefully will find something soon. I know that when things don't work out there is a reason, and sometimes we don't ever know exactly what that reason was, we just have to be thankful it happened. I know that in my head, its just that sometimes it get so frustrating to have to tell the kids AGAIN "Guess what, this one isn't going to happen either." Its so nice to come here and be able to have other farmgirls cheering me on. Thanks gals!!!!

*Hugs* I'm so sorry! It is such a frustration to sink your hopes and dreams into a place just to have it fall through. But it does seem to be true that when doors close, windows open. Be open to new possibilities! =)

I know its hard to accept right now - but I think Diane is right. It wasn't meant to be and something better is coming along. Hang in there. But it is awful, all the same. So sorry...

That is so frustrating! I am so sorry that this happened (again!)!! I know you will find the right place! Maybe this is the universe giving you a stall tactic until the absolutely perfect place is available. By the way- we have some great land available here in Montana ;)
