Met the Realtor this afternoon to check out the inside and it was NASTY-NASTY-NASTY! It should be condemned. Major, I am talking Major water damage from a leaky roof-What a tragedy. I am very disappointed
Makes me sick to see good bones on an old house only to discover horrific damage on the inside. Well...I have a saying "You don't find your house...it finds you." I'll keep on looking...
Found another farmhouse with a little over an acre and this one has a million dollar view of the Bay.
I made an appointment with the Realtor to check out the inside for Thursday afternoon.
Mercy....my heart is pounding! Please send all good vibes and happy thoughts my way that this is the ONE dear farmgirls-I'm gonna need it.

Posted - Oct 13 2011 : 2:17:27 PM Awwhh- So sorry to hear that Melody. Boy- looking at those gorgeous pictures you would never suspect that from the outside. Just goes to show you can never judge a book by its cover! When it is meant to be it will be. Keep trudging along and keep smiling! Hugs,

Posted - Oct 11 2011 : 4:52:14 PM Thank you Vicky-I am so ready to get out of town and into an area that is peaceful and quiet with room for a HUGE vegetable garden and more fruit trees... and that view---well that is icing on the cake. Apparently, the house has been empty for a while and according to the Realtor needs "a good cleaning!" It's also over a hundred years old. My DH and I remodeled our 100+ year old Victorian here in town and hard work has never bothered me. It is simple and sweet-An old farmhouse-I am LOVIN it! Anyway....I can't wait to see the inside on Thursday. I will keep everyone posted!

Posted - Oct 11 2011 : 4:36:26 PM Don't you just LOVE the long drive way?? I know sounds stupid, but I have a vision of walking down that long drive-way to get the mail---
Yes. It's Lake Michigan Janet and there is just a sliver of land there so the possibility of someone building is remote-Just not enough room-WHEW!
Oh Vicky....I love your post--Kinda reminds me of th little engine that could---I THINK I can, I THINK I can, I THINK I can---GET IT! GET IT! GET IT!!!
