Posted - Sep 15 2011 : 12:11:38 PM I have a Bissel that I use on our Motorhome carpeting while camping. It's great for keeping up with the bits and pieces dragged inside. Been thinking of bringing it into the house to keep up in between regular vacuuming.

Posted - Sep 14 2011 : 09:33:03 AM I use an old fashioned dust mop. We have simulated wood floors, no carpet. It's an easy cleanup day any day.

O, a trouble's a ton or a trouble's an ounce, Or a trouble is what you make it! And it isn't the fact that you're hurt that counts, But only--how did you take it?

Posted - Sep 13 2011 : 10:12:29 AM Thanks. I just looked at Wal-mart today - they have nothing. I had to run to town to get a new toilet seat and install it -always something to repair it seems.

Posted - Sep 13 2011 : 08:24:04 AM I have a Bissell. It's ok for quick pick-ups on the area rugs, but does nothing on bare floors.

Posted - Sep 13 2011 : 06:02:29 AM Yes I have a Leifheit. It works good. Since we are off grid there is often not enough power in our batteries to run the electric sweeper so it works well for in between pickup. The problem is I have two big dogs who shed a bushel of fur a day and the little sweeper can barely keep up. Just make sure you empty it often or the performance goes way down.
