Keep the people in the area where I live in your thoughts, we have 3 wildfires going, and all have detroyed homes and small ranches/farms, and one of the fires was started by a small private plane crash...smoke is heavy, and ash is coming down...hope for no more dry lightning this eve, we are so dry, any strikes will start more fires...

The hurricanes, blizzards, tornadoes, massive heat waves and fires have just been terrible this year I'm so sorry that we are having such a year of it. Please stay safe ladies and help your family and neighbors stay safe. Thoughts, hugs and prayers to everyone

We have a friend right in the middle of the Bastrop fires and my son-in-law's great uncle and cousins have lost their homes to the same fire. Absolutely horrible. I'm just waiting until things get better organized to find out what we can do to help. I think the whole country is going to have to pitch in on this one! Over 1000 homes lost. Unimaginable.

We are about 240 miles from where the fires are but our air here is smelling of smoke. I feel so sorry for the folks up there. The news said over 1000 homes have been burned. Please pray for all of the people in harms way.

The Texas hillcountry wildfires are where my dad's ranch is. I am worried sick. He isn't there, thank goodness, but it will be terribly sad to see the family property and the house my grandpa, dad and brother built burn. I worry about all the people down there who are fighting this horrible monster. So many homes already lost. That area of Texas is so beautiful, and there is so much wildlife, too. Spoke to Dad and his wife yesterday and they heard that the ranches with cattle are all turning out their animals in hopes to run from the fire. When they last spoke to a neighbor, their property was okay unless the wind changed, and then it would hit their property, and the neighbor behind my dad already had some of his acres burn. Texas farmgirls, keep us posted on your status, and we are keeping you in our prayers!

We are dealing with them here too. 3 big ones on the Warm Springs rez and another smaller one over by Sisters. The sunset was BLOOD red this evening from all the smoke. Hang in there.

Tina,

I'm praying for you too girl. We're in the thick of it in Texas. DD who's 5 asked if our house burned down could we go to the big snow. The "big snow" is California. It was her first time to see snow and ski. I have faith God will protect and provide for you just as He will for me with my Texas sisters. Stay strong and stay safe Tina.
