I have been gone for a month when I thought it would only be a week or so! We are moved in and the storage container is finally empty! The house is shaping up and is all I hoped it would be. Well, maybe my craft/laundry room could have a bit more wall space for storage but I would not give up the windows so I'll find a way to cope!
I have thought of you all every day I have been absent!
Our cable service is almost as hit and miss as cell service is out here. We had the line run to the house 3 years ago and payed an outrageous price for it. While we were away it was damaged by someone shooting it. (I do have neighbors that are firearm happy when they are drinking which is most of the time.) Anyway it took a while to convince the cable co to fix it without charging us.
Just wanted to say Hi to every one, tell you where I've been, and try to catch up on the latest topics.
I'm so happy to be back!!!!!!

It was more work than I can tell you! I worked myself to near exhaustion the first week. After that I learned to pace myself! After all, it will never all be done. That is the nature of home ownership much less farm life. It was so worth it. Being back in the country after 18 mos in the city is heaven. I was out hammering nail pops on the old porch in my pjs this morning! Couldn't do that in the city!
Thanks for the welcome back! I wish I could remember all the things I thought to tell you all while I was busy. Point being I thought about the forum a lot!

Welcome Back Connie- glad you are all "settled" in. Couldnt imagine packing up my whole house and moving...Although....if it meant a place in the "real" country I think I could muster the energy....ha ha

Hey Kris! Good to be talkin with you again. I'm careful when they are shooting it up. I stay on the other side of the house if I'm outside. Scares my little dog too. The big dogs stand around and bark.
I'm back as long as the cable works!

Well hey, Connie. Welcome back. I did miss you too. I'm glad you're all moved in. But watch out for those crazy drinkin' country neighbors! We have an old empty house next door and the people that own it come out sometimes and shoot guns. Scares my poor goats half to death. Scares me too when my grands are here. Anyway, don't be a stranger.
