Picked up this little "dresser" set of china at auction this past Sunday by accident...I really wanted the Royal Copenhagen plates and this just happened to be in the box with them.

For the life of me I have no clue what it's called. There are no markings and it is heavy! The finish is a soft matte and the detail is exquisite...

Wedgewood? (I wish) Jasperware?

Got any idea?

I KNOW it's not Wedgwood-No markings.

I have been looking on the bottom of china since I was a teen and had to go to countless auctions with mommie dearest. I was just curious to know who the maker is. I don't think it's Avonshire either. Did find an exact replica of the trinket box on E-bay today and the seller had it listed at $29.95...gonna watch that and in a few days I am going to list all four pieces of this Wedgwood/Jasperware "style" china on my Etsy site: www.longtallsallys.etsy.com

Thanks for all the posts ladies! 'Preciate it!

Avon had a line of Wedgewood blue and white collectables called Avonshire. A quick look at Google brings up tons of sites where you might find them.

I used to belong to the Wedgewood Collectors Society and I doubt very much that the pieces are Wedgewood. I agree that there's a good chance they are Avon collectibles. They are really lovely, though.

I collect the plaquettes and the medium size RC dated Christmas plates.

Here is one of the plates (Watermill Christmas Plate) I bid on and got that was in the box with the "wedgwood/jasperware set I have posted.

MaryBeth, could be Avon as well. My mther used to sell Avon for a short while and I remember some of the pieces they had looked a lot like Jasperware. Don't remember if they were indeed Jasperware from Wedgewood but....

My great-aunt used to sell Avon and she had some things that looked like this. Avon had a whole set of "Wedgewood" pieces that were unique. Not sure these are the same but you might look into it.
