Posted - Aug 14 2011 : 04:41:01 AM I hope all of our farmgirls who went to the Indiana State Fair are OK. When I read this news this morning about the stage collapse and the poor people killed and hurt I was worried.

Posted - Aug 15 2011 : 06:29:26 AM Just awful--my sil and bil and the kids were there the night before this happened. I instantly got chilled when I heard the news. We were at my fil's Local Union 127 picnic at Stricker's Grove when the storm started brewing--it's about 80 miles from Indianapolis, and always in the direct path of whatever they get. It appeared to be a very bad storm brewing, so we cut out from the picnic early. I'm so sorry that what should have been a wonderful evening was so horrible for these people.

As far as I know, all the farmgirls that I know here in Indiana are accounted for. Not sure how many there are though. I only know a few of them.
