How do you all determine the value of things? I'm asking because in the name of debt reduction we're selling some stuff (sniff sniff) and I have such a tough time figuring out prices! Here's my most recent one. This is a really cute cake/pie carrier, it's metal, it's old, it's in quite good shape. . .

If I try to look it up online, I don't even know how to describe it to find something comparable. . .

So--just looking for input! Thanks in advance!

That's super cute! I'll have to ask my hubby if we can buy it from you! :)

hmmm, you may be putting part of it together incorrectly it's kind of hard to remember how to put it together but it's how you configure the pieces to make it do all three, it's kind of weird how you do the cake to make it to do it for all three. Took me a while to figure it out. lol I haven't used mine in a long time, but it seems to me you have to put the cake in almost upside down like (opposite way of what you would think) to make it hold all three.

it actually just has the two compartments, the upper one and the bigger "cake" lower section.

Thanks for the help ladies!

Eileen the great thing about the one Sheila has is it will carry all three at once. It's three compartments! That is one thing if you list it you need to make sure you say Sheila. And maybe even show pics of each compartment. If you have fake cakes, pies, or cookies maybe even photo them with them.

Sheila, I just looked on ebay and there is one exactly like yours that just got put up. The starting bid is $19.99 You can see it here: http://cgi.ebay.com/Vtg-Mod-Eames-Era-Pink-Metal-Cake-Carrier-Saver-/300586295425?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45fc56e081

Officially it's called, a cake, pie, cookie carrier. And I generally see them go on Ebay for 10 dollars, give or take. Both in good and not so good condition (condition on this particular piece, doesn't seem to effect price on ebay). I personally would buy it from you if I had the money. I love it! I have a yellow one I bought on ebay, some years ago. But, I love the flowers on yours! lol But, uhg right now no money. :(
