Posted - Jul 21 2011 : 9:05:39 PM Oh, BEAUTIFUL!!! I planted a whole bunch of seeds, but not one came up this year. I miss them! (Don't feel bad, Marianne - last year was the only year I actually had any grow, and I have NO idea what I did differently!!!)
Great job, Sherrie! Enjoy! Enjoy! Enjoy!!!

Posted - Jul 21 2011 : 8:47:16 PM I'm so jealous! The deer ate all of ours. So disappointing. Last year we had the really tall 6 ft or taller with blooms a foot across. So fun getting all the seeds. Your's look beautiful :)

Posted - Jul 21 2011 : 8:22:23 PM They are gorgeous! We had a very wet spring here and didn't get our sunflower seeds in until 3rd week of June. We are still hoping for a harvest but our plants are only about 5 inches high....

Posted - Jul 19 2011 : 10:25:41 AM Sherrie, they are absolutely gorgeous. Don't sunflowers make you smile? I have some Russian Mammoth planted in my garden. They are about six feet tall at the moment and nowhere near blooming. I have bird planted ones that are small in my mulched area that are blooming. What is the name of the ones you have? I want to plant some next year.
