Hello Chickens,
I am so happy to report (after one comedy of errors after another) that we are finally all moved up to Byers, CO!!! All your prayers and well wishes worked! We are in the midst of unpacking and organizing, but we are HERE!! And I feel as though a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I love it here! It has rained everyday since moving up here. And all our animals seem to be adjusting well. Here is a pic after one of the thunderstorms we had:

Welcome to Colorado and just get ready the fun never ends...

The late evening when the movers finally finshed here a storm hit and we had no power. Here was four grown men scared of the pitch dark and the howling coyotes. I had to walk them out to the big truck with a flashlight because they had never been in such a dark countyside. I could not help but laugh and think back at the movie "Funny Farm" and their first night without and the movers lost. Who know that this was going to be the story of this farm - never a dull moment.

Enjoy and hope you did not get the hail storms that this farm had two days straight... Womderful, Wild Colorado... You'll fit right in.

Thanks Daizy! Thank you for the prayers, well wishes and the warning. We have an insulin resistant horse, so I am very, very careful about them being on grass...they are on night turn out only, and all seem to be doing great. We are in love with this place already!

Hay Ya'll WELCOME HOME !!! I hope it will become "Home Sweet Home" for you and your clan.... I have taken in some horses from pastures without much grass, and they go onto a pasture with lots of grass and, FYI, be cautious about them over-eating, I'm just saying. I don't know anything about their old place or their new place, I'm just saying. I truly hope your dreams are all coming true. It looks like an amazing place. Hugs and Prayers, Daizy

Thank you all for the well wishes!!! CMac...your comment "I know from experience they add to the circus like a troop of monkeys when traveling. : )" made me snort with laughter! The animals actually did great...the baby was a handful, but this was only the second time she has been on a trailer. Took an hour to get her loaded, and about a half hour of coaxing to get her off at this end. But the Haulers were a mess. They were over two hours late getting here (ended up being 11:30PM ) they got lost and I had to go "find" them, it was pouring rain when they got here, and then after we get everyone unloaded they turn the rig around, and proceed to get stuck at the bottom of our driveway!!!! They called me at 2:30AM and asked if it was okay for the Wrecking company to call me to give them directions...it was a crazy experience LOL. BUT we are here safely, everyone is doing great and settled in, they are LOVING the grass!!! And we have a fun story to share.

Here is another picture:

Bless you all Chickens

Thanks for letting us know you made it. I was thinking about you. How did the animals travel? Well I hope though I know from experience they add to the circus like a troop of monkeys when traveling. : ) The pic is beautiful! Show us more!
