...Posts Just The Same... :-)

Well, it's time for a big contest that is going to involve everybody on our FB and the FarmGirls and their brains. It seems that I need a name for the blog. The OPC™ Blog is no longer good enough according to marketers sooooo much smarter than I. So read on for the particulars:

I need a name that is catchy, has to do with Oklahoma, has to do with the nature of the blog (and I guess the writer??) and is not too long. Just post your ideas and we will make our top choices. Then we will let everybody vote on the finalists. Whomever comes up with the winning name will get a gift package and a $25 gift certificate to anything on the website. Does that sound like a plan?

My parents still live in Central OK and they are about to pack and go to CO until the weather breaks. It is just crazy hot! We were going to visit but there is just nothing to do so we are going to the beach in MI instead. LOL!

Too funny Kathryn!! Right now, there's not an Okie in this state who wouldn't agree with you. We are dying for some cool weather!! 110 - 112 around here yesterday. I'm afraid to look at the temps today.

Not really submitting for your log name -- it is too long but as someone who was raised in OKC I would say "Oklahoma. Where summers are hot and the farm girls are hotter"!

Oklahoma Tablecloth- where you gather round the table and share your stories and ideas.

Meaning that it preserves the characteristics of your blog, product, and you. It seems most posts are topics you'd discuss at the table with friends.

You might even consider shortening that to "Oklahoma Table" and have some kind of pun about bringing *something*, to the table in your header. This is suggested as just a tweak to Julie's idea, I'll put in one of my own later :)

I have to tell you that my Mr. Fix-It threw one out that had me rolling on the floor laughing. We've been thinking about getting some chickens and goats and so he thought it would be kinda cute, but since we don't have those yet, I'm thinking people might get the wrong idea!! :-) The name he came up with? "Oklahoma Kneadin' n' Breedin'" :-)

Wow, fun, and we have until September? I second what Liz said! I live your blog, and I've learned so much from it!! Like I want more land, pigs, and a fitted fridge/freezer so I can salt cure a ham!!!

The tears I shed then, watered the flowers I harvest now.
