I read our paper last night, only to find out that Temple Grandin visited an area farm. I wish I could have been there to listen to her talk.

I think this movie is good for people with livestock AND kids with Autism! The way they turned the way Autistic people think into a visual medium was extremely valuable to me!

Anyone that has large animals would benefit from seeing the movie. Heck anyone that is human would benefit! I'm not easily impressed with people but she is amazing and does not care that she is! She is one of the folks that is one of the answers to the question "Who, living or dead, would you most like to have dinner with?" for me.

I have a funny story about Temple Grandin. I was telling my friend about Temple Grandin the movie and how much I liked it. She said, "Wait, you mean Temple Grandin the livestock expert?" Turns out her husband - who worked with cattle at Michigan State - is a friend of Temple Grandin, and they had just hosted her at their house a few weeks before. They didn't know she had a movie made about her!

Have you seen the movie with Claire Danes as Temple Grandin?

Loved it! She's really an inspiration...

Temple Grandin is awesome and is one of my heroes. Her story is one of such inspiration and triumph. Studying her books helped me assist my student who has Asperger's Syndrome who he later went on to not only graduate from high school but recently graduated from college.

she has written books. i love her. she is autistic and a savant. she is brilliant. she explains how autistic kids see life in pictures. she also see how animals see. so she has written books about it. their is a movie about her. 6o percent of livestock kill areas have changed to her systems. it has helped me a lot with my cows. you are going to learn lots from her. sherrye

I have never read anything of hers. And only heard about her here. Has she written books?

She has been an inspiration to me. I felt like I had new eyes after reading her books and watching a documentary about her.
