Posted - May 27 2011 : 11:40:51 AM Today I am going to meet a Mary Jane Farmgirl who lives by me in Kansas. We follow each others blogs and until today we have not ever met in person. I had said something on my blog about going to the Yoder (Amish) Poultry Auction that they have every month on the last Friday. It is soooooo much fun, they have every kind of little animal and birds. I will be taking pictures and they will be up on my blog in the next few days.
If you have ever met a MJF before?
Hugs from my farm, Linda

Posted - May 28 2011 : 06:48:21 AM I too have had the Blessing of meeting with a couple of Farmgirls this month and it was wonderful. It was like we had known each other forever, and that is what Mary Jane does for us, there are no strangers among us. Next month I will be able to meet 6 or 7 more in Denver for a nice lunch and I am so looking forward to it. Then I just found out yesterday that there is a Farmgirl about 5 miles from me who wrote and introduced herself to me as she saw me post on one of the forums. So, I am looking forward to meeting her as well, you can never have to many Farmgirl Friends I do not think. Have a beautiful weekend my Farmgirl Friends. Farmgirl Hugs, Debbie

Posted - May 28 2011 : 06:14:56 AM YES!!! Have had the wonderful privilege of meeting up with several MJF farmgirls in person . . up close and personal . . hug their necks!! The ones I have met so far are all "Chicks" in our Henhouse Chapter, but our Henhouse is "virtual" and our members are scattered all across the states. I've met a chick from California, several from Arizona and some from other parts of Colorado.
I'm hoping to meet up with a MJF today! She is supposed to be REALLY CLOSE . . . I'm hoping that it comes together. But, there will be many, many more farmgirl necks to hug when we take off on the Women of the Wild West/Farmgirls on the Loose Road trip here in about a month.
There's nothing like meeting a farmgirl!!!! CJ

Posted - May 27 2011 : 1:01:11 PM Oh yes! I have met lots of MJF Farmgirls off the forum! When I lived in Moscow I would make trips to Spokane pretty regularly to see some farmgirls up there, and my very first time meeting MJF Farmgirls was going berrypicking with a farmgirl here named Huckleberry Wine! She and I still stay in contact! When we first met it was like we had been friends for years! We even planned a weekend away at a hot springs together for my birthday one year before we I left Idaho. Another MJF Farmgirl friend and I call each other pretty frequently and I stay at her house sometimes when I go back to the Idaho area. And then of course my new local MJF friends are amazing!
I hope you two have a lot of fun together! I am so excited for you!
