Posted - May 16 2011 : 2:54:15 PM Don't worry, you haven't been hacked. The worst that's happened is that someone in your circle of e-mail friends has had their e-mail address hijacked for the purpose of harvesting private information from their contacts. This seems to happen most often with Yahoo mail. Do not forward such mail to anyone. Do not click on any of the links in the e-mail: Rosemary is right, that's what they want you to do. Just delete that garbage and bookmark Snopes.com for advice on suspicious mail in the future. :-) |

Posted - May 16 2011 : 12:53:58 PM Sheila, something similar happened when I opened an email last week, but I immediately shut down everything, because if it says to "click here" and you do, THEN you are hacked. |
