I just hauled a huge stack of old magazines into the recycle bin & trash is being picked up today. Amazing how much room they can take up. Had to "sneak" em out while the house is empty because my father,bless him,hangs on to everything(the mags were mine,not his,BTW)I did try to sell them on eBay a few times but no luck. Feel much better-have more room now!

Laurie & Elaine,good luck in your thinning out! Actually I'm also making room for a half mannequin to display my ukulele gig bags on as well as capelets,scarves & such. But to get rid of unwanted stuff is fantastic-make one feel better somehow. I need to go thru my Halloween stuff as I have a bunch of decor I no longer use because I put up my handcrafted or vintage most the time. I'm big on holiday decor too.

I am trying to motivate myself to begin Spring cleaning . It's difficult because it feels so cold and damp right now. I would love a semi warm partly sunny day so I could open the windows and get a good clean going!

Good for you Sherrie! I am in the same mode right now- just want to spring clean and make room. There is so much "Stuff" that we all have that we really have no need for and isnt it such a great feeling to be "uncluttered". I plan on tackling my garage in the next few weeks- I've gone to Lowes and bought a whole bunch of storage bins so that I can organize all of my holiday decorations ( and boy do I have every holiday...lol). I am goin to donate what I dont use anymore and just keep what I actually put out each holiday. They will all be placed by holiday in these bins and then labeled for easy access. Wish me luck!
