Got these last week at the thrift. Why someone would want to give all this ribbon away is a mystery, so many ways to use it. I only bought one bag, there were several there. Nice bunch of buttons once I got the non button things out of the way, and a little sewing basket.

What a find. I'm on a scavange hunt for ribbon and spools. The April/May issue if mjf has the sweetest little lamp, I FELL IN LOVE, AND NOW HAVE TO MAKE IT. SIMPLY CAN NOT LIVE WITHOUT IT NOW. I wish we had a local thrift shop, but sadly we do not. How wonderful that you found them. And buttons too! I adore buttons. Good for you!(((hugs)))

The tears I shed then, watered the flowers I harvest now.

Ingrid, you did have a good thrift store day, that was a lot for seven dollars.
Claudia, thats what I think too, maybe they are dealing with so much stuff they just toss everything without thinking.

Ya know, I was wondering if an older person passed away, and maybe family members, not realizing how precious ribbons & buttons are, just cleaned house and sent them to the thrift store. Good they went to someone who appreciates them.

Oh and I forgot, I also got 3 yards of remnants of two different fabrics for aprons. Can't wait to use them with the lace I found.

Wonderful find. I went to the thrift yesterday and found a roll of lace, a silver serving fork, a small 4 inch hand saw, a pair of pjs for my son, a jean jacket and two metal hangers for plants that attaches to post and all for $7.00. Next week they are bringing out their summer stuff so will just "have" to make another stop there. Then I can browse through their outdoor pots and things. Can't wait.
