Posted - Apr 05 2011 : 6:58:57 PM We watched this movie in Feb of 2010 and have not eaten fast food since. We also have not had any soda at all either. I dropped almost 40 pounds and the hubster dropped over 20 just from changing our eating habits. We bought chickens for eggs and started raising honeybees. I cook everything from scratch now. We do not eat processed foods and I check the label of everything I buy for high fructose corn syrup. You wouldn't believe what all that is in. We joined a CSA and found a local farmer to buy grass fed beef from. The last time I went to the doctor my diabetes A1C dropped way down just from our changes. I think everyone should see this movie.
A couple other must see movies are Supersize me and King Corn.

Posted - Apr 05 2011 : 6:12:10 PM Hey Laurie. The movies is pretty stark. You'll see a LOT of factory farmed situations, it might be disturbing to a young child. But, it DOES happen--food animals ARE treated cruelly in this country. One of the reasons I went veg awhile ago. Cheryl, the movie was out quite awhile ago, so it might not be available locally. Most likely will be more readily available on Amazon.

Posted - Apr 05 2011 : 06:48:38 AM Wow sounds like something I have to get. Is it appropriate for children to watch? I have a daughter who is already a very picky eater and I dont want her to be "Afraid" to eat things! (even though perhaps we should be by the sounds of this movie! LOl) Going to see if the public library has it to borrow. Thanks! Smiles, Laurie Farmgirl Sister#1403
