Posted - Mar 24 2011 : 05:17:51 AM I was surprised to hear that she died at 79. I thought she would live longer. She had overcome so many obstsacles in her life. It has been a sad year so far for some great actresses.... Jane Russell and Kathryn Grayson and now Elizabeth Taylor. :( May they rest in Peace.

Posted - Mar 24 2011 : 02:40:45 AM I thought she was older too, at least my mother's age, who would have been 86 this year. But ya never know exactly when famous people are born, are ya.

Posted - Mar 23 2011 : 9:10:32 PM Yeah, I was really saddened by the news of her passing, too. But just think of all the amazing things she accomplished in her life, and all the wonderful things she did to give back. What an incredible lady - she was a very blessed, indeed! She overcame so much adversity, and she never let it bring her down - she very much an inspiration in that respect! We were extremely blessed to have her star shine for as long as it did, and in so many ways! :) Hugs - Nini

Posted - Mar 23 2011 : 8:20:18 PM Yes, I was saddened to hear she had passed, but have to admit I thought she was older than that. She was such a wonderful actress and a true beauty. We just don't seem to really have actresses of her caliber anymore:(

Posted - Mar 23 2011 : 2:33:38 PM so sad! Both my paternal and maternal grandmothers loved her! I know she was my paternal grandmothers favorite actress of all time. She will be greatly missed.

Posted - Mar 23 2011 : 12:34:32 PM Elizabeth Taylor was a real Hollywood star~
I LOVED her in "Who's afraid of Virginia Woolfe" such a departure from her other glamorous movie roles.

Posted - Mar 23 2011 : 11:42:42 AM I was sorry to see Ms. Taylor had passed away too. It seems all the stars from the glamor years in Hollywood are gone.
