We arrived home from some errands today to a big box on the porch. Inside were two beautiful quilts (one for me and one for Jacob) that were made by several of you farmgirls! I can not tell you how surprised and overwhelmed I was as I pulled mine out and unwrapped it. It is BEAUTIFUL! Knowing that so many of you made a quilt square for it with love and that someone patched the whole thing together is amazing. It brought tears to my eyes (and that is not easily done!). This will be a keepsake and I know that I will feel the warmth of farmgirl hugs whenever I look at it. I'm trying to decide if I should use it or get a quilt rack to hang on the wall behind my bed to hang it up. It is amazing!

And Jacob gasped when he opened his up. A monkey quilt?! How could it be more perfect for him - he loves monkeys! And the little Curious George patch at the bottom made him so happy - Curious George is one of his favorite things ever. He's snuggled up on the couch with it right now.

I can not thank all of you enough who put time and thought into this. Just know that you made our day (or week...or month!). These quilts are truly a treasure.

I'm thinking about writing an article/letter for MaryJane's Farm magazine about how much a family it truly is here and how you all banded together to help a fellow farmgirl out. You are all awesome!

What a gorgeous gift! I was not involved, but I am so proud to be able to call myself a farmgirl and be part of such a fantastic group.

Many prayers for Jacob and all who love him.

O, a trouble's a ton or a trouble's an ounce,
Or a trouble is what you make it!
And it isn't the fact that you're hurt that counts,
But only--how did you take it?

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Wow, Elizabeth! That is awesome! I know these are the best farmgirls ever. I would love to see a picture of the quilts. I can just imagine how beautiful and comfy they are. I'm sure little Jacob's will be worn with love very soon. How sweet.

That is so special. We would love to see pics if you can do that. I have no idea who the sneaky farmgirls are ( I know I wasn't involved; I can barely thread a needle), but this is very heartwarming.
We all hear about how dangerous the internet can be, but then I hear stories like this, & realize what blessings it brings as well.
You are in my daily prayers.
