What a fun weekend this was! Heidi, a farmgirl friend who hails from New York City, came up this weekend with her wonderful daughter Zoe, for a girls day out with me and Audrey. First off, let me tell you how sweet Heidi's husband is. He got off work Friday night at 7:30 and drove them out here to drop them off and go home again! Then he came and picked them up to go home last night. (With the road closings and traffic, it is about an hour and half drive each way). So sweet!

I met Heidi on the chatroom forum here and we became close friends. Isn't it amazing how MaryJane brings people together? I wouldn't have met Heidi otherwise! The forum makes the world so cozy. MaryJane is based in Idaho, I'm in Connecticut, and Heidi is in New York City! Heidi has a daughter, and our daughters are friends too. We stayed up late Friday night gabbing and knitting, and yesterday we went to our favorite little town to our favorite little yarn store.

It was a short visit, but so much fun. Everybody needs a "Girls Day Out" once in a awhile, don't ya think?

Oh Debbie! How cool! I live near Bethel. Are you originally from here? I think Idaho would be a lovely place to live, too. We drove up to Kent...great new knitting store and hot cocoa at Belgique...worth the forty five minute drive. We also knitted and watched "Chocolat" and "Breakfast at Tiffany's", total "Girls weekend". Our daughters had such a fun day, too.
CJ and Diane..I'm a wee bit envious...you two are two farmgirls I'd love to meet...you are both so sweet (and Debbie, too)!

Hugs,

Nicole

Nicole,
That sounds wonderful! If you don't mind my asking, what town is your fav little town? I miss CT so much. I lived in Bethel for 5 years.

AMEN and AMEN!!!
Debbie and Diane . . both of you I will have the WONDERFUL privilege of meeting in June!!!!!
It has been so nurturing, uplifting and encouraging to meet in "cyberspace", but when you can actually meet face to face!
Well, that is an experience I have a hard time finding words to describe.

Here's to more Farmgirl Get-Togethers!!!

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
